Job Description
Title: Registered Nurse - Post Anesthesia Care Unit

Schedule:
- Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (06:00 - 14:30); Day 5x8-Hour (07:30 - 16:00)

Assignment Details:
- Contract Length: 14 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Requirements:
- Minimum Years of Experience: 2 Years
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
- Skills:
- IV Therapy/Phlebotomy skills including Starting and Maintaining IVs
- Pre/Post Op Care of the Patient, including Discharge Instructions and Medication Reconciliation
- Professional Topics & Skills: Malignant Hyperthermia Protocol, Pain Assessment & Management
- Experience in Ambulatory/Outpatient settings

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in the post-anesthesia care unit.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions post-surgery.
- Administer medications and IV therapy as prescribed.
- Educate patients and families on post-operative care and discharge instructions.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Compliance / Notes:
- RTO after booking is not allowed.
- Must pass EKG testing prior to start.
