What this opportunity involves: Are you ready to take the next step in your career in 2026?We are seeking a Finance Manager to join our team at one of Melbourne’s premier mixed-use precincts.Reporting to the General Manager, you will be a trusted advisor to the client while leading a dedicated finance team of 2. You will be managing the delivery of management and financial reports of two commercial sites of over 80,000 square metres.This role will be based on-site in Melbourne CBD.Key Responsibilities: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports with comprehensive variance analysis and commentaryLead annual budget preparation and conduct 10-year reforecasts to optimize financial planning across the assets.Review and approve journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and end-of-month checklists ensuring accuracy and complianceManage tenant recovery processes including outgoings and promotion fund budgets, plus calculate percentage rent for applicable tenantsExecute month-end and year-end closing procedures while processing rent smoothing journals for IFRS complianceMaintain tight control over precinct operating costs and communicate financial performance to management stakeholdersProcess owner remittances according to agreed schedules and coordinate with external auditors for compliance requirementsReview debtors and book bad debt provisions as necessary to ensure accurate financial reportingLead, coach and develop a finance team of 2 by setting measurable performance goals and driving collaborative excellenceManage relationships with Building Management Team, clients, and JLL internal teamsKey Skills & RequirementsTertiary education in Accounting, Finance or equivalentAchievement or near completion of professional qualifications (CA or CPA) will be highly regardedPrior experience in Commercial Property / Real Estate industry with experience using Yardi or other asset management software will be highly desirableSolid interpersonal and relationship management skills with demonstrated ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levelsSound written and oral communication skills with a positive approach to meeting client’s needs whilst managing tenants’ expectationsAbility to work independently as well as part of an effective teamDemonstrated ability to prioritise work within tight deadlinesWhat you can expect from us:Great employee discounts off fitness, wellbeing & other renowned bandsPrivate Health Insurance DiscountsEmployee assistant programNovated Lease for EV carsPaid time off for volunteer workCareer Opportunities with Australia's #1 Commercial Real Estate firmPremium officesAbout us: At JLL, we see a Brighter Way forward for our clients, our people, our planet, and our communities.
