Job Description Summary:

$15,000 SIGN-ON BONUS\n
\nExternal applicants and newly licensed internal applicants may be eligible for a $15,000 sign-on bonus with a one-year work commitment. Previously employed applicants who have been gone from the organization more than 90 days may also be eligible.\n
\n
\nMansfield Hospital is hiring a full-time Cardiac Sonographer to work Monday-Friday. The department hours are 6:30a-5:00p and the technologists work either 10 or 8-hour shifts, depending on the schedule. There is no call with this position, however, the technologists do rotate every 9 weeks to cover a Sunday shift.\n

\nThe Cardiac Sonographer is responsible for performing diagnostic tests, such as echocardiograms, vascular studies, and follow-up paperwork for each procedure. Displays caring, courteous behavior in dealing with patients and their families, coworkers, physicians, and guests of the hospital.\n

Responsibilities And Duties:

\nPerforms ultrasound imaging.\n

\nPrepares required reports.\n
\n10%\n
\nMaintains files.\n
\n10%\n
\nMaintains equipment. Provides needed statistics.\n
\n5%\n
\nHandles telephone to schedule and provide information.\n
\n5%\n
\nReviews results of echocardiogram with physicians and performs quality assurance activities.\n

\nAs a High Reliability Organization (HRO), responsibilities require focus on safety, quality and efficiency in performing job duties.  \n

Minimum Qualifications:

High School or GED (Required)BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association\n

\n

Additional Job Description:

\n

Minimum in a two year allied, patient related healthcare program (i.e., sonography, radiology, respiratory therapy, occupational therapy, or RN) AND either registered (RDCS or RCS) or registry eligible (RDCS or RCS) with registry obtained within 12 months of hire. BLS Certification.
