Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Labor and Delivery Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Specialty: Labor & Delivery Facility: Eastern Maine Medical Center Start: ASAP Shift: 7P–7A (12-hour nights) Overview Level III NICU, ~1,800 deliveries/year 7 L&D rooms, 2 ORs, 25 postpartum beds High-acuity unit with strong NICU referrals No first-time travelers (must have prior travel experience) Requirements 2+ years L&D experience Prior travel at similar facility required BLS, ACLS, NRP, FHM (Intermediate/Advanced), MOAB Responsibilities Manage labor, delivery, and postpartum patients Circulate C-sections & assist in OR Handle high-risk cases (pre-eclampsia, hemorrhage, multiples, etc.) Newborn care & neonatal resuscitation Must be comfortable with drips, epidurals, fetal monitoring Ratios Active labor: 1:1 Laboring: 1:1–3 Postpartum/Antepartum: up to 3 couplets Schedule & Logistics Every other weekend (approx. 4 shifts per schedule) No call required Holidays rotated Orientation: ~3 days Additional Info Strong support staff (charge RN, anesthesia, RT, OB providers 24/7) May float to Mother-Baby (limited) Navy scrubs provided Free parking L&D RN – Maine | Nights 7P-7A | ASAP start | Level III NICU, high acuity | 2+ yrs exp + prior travel required | No call, great support team. #J-18808-Ljbffr
