About the Role

The Restaurant Host/ess greets and seats guests while coordinating reservations and responding to inquiries in an efficient, courteous and professional manner.

What You Will Do

• Seat guests promptly at a table pre-set for the number in the party and according to guest preference.
• Answer telephones to take guest reservations or provide information regarding the restaurant or any other hotel service.
• Anticipate the needs of guests, respond accordingly to guest inquiries or problems, and recognize regular guests by name and utilize the guest's name consistently.
• Inspect and maintain menus to ensure quality, condition and appearance.

What You Bring

• At least one year of high-volume host/ess experience, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort.
• Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Strong time management skills: ability to multi-task, set priorities, and adjust to changing conditions. Willing to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to operate all computer equipment necessary to perform the job; knowledge of Opera and OpenTable preferred/is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work closely with other departments and communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues and guests.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 10 lbs.

This position requires the flexibility to work a diverse schedule encompassing days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
