Operations Specialist

Export Import Specialist Position duties and responsibilities: Review export and import documents for accuracy Prepare and present Letter of Credit Documents Dispatch import and export loads and cargo pick-ups, confirm cargo delivered to carrier or cosignee Track import and export shipments and advise customer of potential schedule changes if applicable for the client Prepare export documents, file AES and Bill of Lading Instructions, file AMS/ISF/ACI if applicable, process entries prior to vessel and customs cut-offs. Ensure timely distribution of transport documents and billing of freight Negotiate rates with carriers, utilize MAO rate management systems to quote via our service contracts and provide quotes to customers Problem solve with the Branch Manager when situations arise that can or do negatively effect our clients and their customers Communicate with all parties in a transaction in a clear, concise, professional manner Above all, provide outstanding, uncompromising customer service Requirements: Knowledge of US Customs Regulations regarding US Exports and basic knowledge of imports Country Requirements competence Letter of Credit knowledge and experience preferred Good transportation background, FCL, LCL, rating, routing, documentation Ability to work in a fast paced demanding environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Export experience minimum 2+ years High school diploma, 2 or 4 year college degree beneficial Qualifications Behaviors: Team Player: Works well as a member of a group Loyal: Shows firm and constant support to a cause Leader: Inspires teammates to follow them Enthusiastic: Shows intense and eager enjoyment and interest Detail Oriented: Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well Dedicated: Devoted to a task or purpose with loyalty or integrity Motivations: Ability to Make an Impact: Inspired to perform well by the ability to contribute to the success of a project or the organization Growth Opportunities: Inspired to perform well by the chance to take on more responsibility Goal Completion: Inspired to perform well by the completion of tasks Flexibility: Inspired to perform well when granted the ability to set your own schedule and goals Financial: Inspired to perform well by monetary reimbursement Education: Bachelors or better.
