Automation Technician II

Waters seeks an Automation Technician II to maintain, troubleshoot, and support automated manufacturing equipment in a regulated, high-volume environment. The role involves preventive maintenance, system diagnostics, documentation, and collaboration with quality and engineering teams on equipment reliability and process improvements.

Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, calibration, and operational checks on automation systems
Troubleshoot and resolve automation, vision system, hardware, software, and process-related issues to minimize downtime
Execute equipment setup, installation, qualification, and validation for new automation platforms and system upgrades
Maintain equipment documentation, maintenance records, calibration records, and validation documentation per quality requirements
Coordinate with quality assurance, engineering, and vendors on equipment maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and continuous improvement

Requirements

Associate's degree in engineering technology, automation, electronics, or related technical field, or equivalent industrial experience
Minimum 3 years recent experience supporting validated automation workflows
Troubleshooting skills for automation, vision systems, hardware, software, and mechanical issues
Knowledge of equipment documentation, maintenance records, and change control in regulated environments
Ability to perform basic automation software configuration and approved programming modifications
