Mechanical Engineer

TRC Talent Solutions is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the design and development of custom-engineered industrial equipment and system assemblies. This role will work closely with manufacturing and production teams to develop innovative solutions, create detailed designs, and support products from concept through fabrication. Responsibilities Design custom mechanical components, fabricated parts, and system assemblies using CAD software. Develop 3D models, assembly layouts, detailed drawings, and manufacturing documentation. Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs). Generate 2D schematics, technical drawings, and supporting documentation. Utilize CAM software to support CNC manufacturing operations. Verify dimensions and specifications of purchased and manufactured components. Perform engineering analysis and design validation activities. Support quality inspections of fabricated components and finished assemblies. Collaborate with manufacturing, production, and project teams to ensure successful execution. Participate in new product development and continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards. Requirements Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 2 years of Mechanical Engineering experience. Experience performing Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA). Strong experience with SolidWorks for 3D modeling and mechanical design. Experience with AutoCAD or similar drafting software. Ability to create detailed manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and assembly documentation. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
