Position: Operations Manager Location: Mt Morris, NY Area Schedule: M - F Compensation: Target $130,000 - $150,000 Benefits: 401k w/ match, health, dental, vision, life insurance, etc. Job Description: The Operations Manager oversees the safe, efficient, and compliant daily operation of power-generating equipment, directing staff in control rooms and field positions. They manage shift operations, ensure adherence to regulatory (NERC, environmental) standards, troubleshoot system failures, and coordinate maintenance, typically requiring technical expertise and leadership experience. - Oversee daily operations and maintenance activities for the facility.
- Develop, issue, and maintain plant operating and maintenance procedures.
- Manage the Preventive Maintenance (PM) program and spare parts inventory.
- Schedule and coordinate operations and maintenance personnel.
- Prepare operational reports, records, and maintenance documentation.
- Supervise training, performance evaluations, compensation, and advancement of plant staff.
- Plan, schedule, and oversee scheduled outages and major maintenance work.
- Direct contractor activities and ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
- Support the Plant Manager with NERC compliance and plant reliability requirements (NERC/NPCC).
- Assist with NYISO bidding and scheduling activities, along with EQR and EIA reporting.
- Manage tank inventories and oversee inspections of chemical and bulk storage tanks.
- Minimum five years of power plant operations experience.
- Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical equipment, control systems, maintenance practices, and safety procedures.
- Proven leadership and supervisory experience in plant operations or maintenance
