Entry Level Warehouse Maintenance Tech

Hourly Rate: $19.00-$22.00 + $1.50 per hour for shift differential PAID WEEKLY Major Responsibilities Monitor facility activities to promote a safe work environment. Preventative maintenance and repair of conveyor system. Preventative maintenance of industrial fork lift batteries. Keep Manager informed of operational issues and/or problems. Communicate with Leaders and associates of work to be performed and/or status of equipment; perform necessary equipment adjustments, repairs, modifications, and/or preventative maintenance as appropriate; Observe and/or test the adjustments, repairs, or modifications to ensure safe operation; Notify affected Leaders. Understand and demonstrate Essendant’s Values and Safety Accountabilities. Performs other duties as assigned. Skills/Knowledge Preferred Ability to perform all required tasks within the scope of Maintenance Associate 1 Perform required tasks and functions in accordance with applicable Standard Operating Procedures, rules, and established processes. Ability to be trained and certified on PIT equipment. Ability to pass NFPA 70E Standards for Electrical Safety Arc Flash training. Must be able to utilize job specific technology (email and CMMS on a computer or tablet). Maintain, organize, and support issued equipment and tools. Perform all tasks in a safe manner, following all safety rules and guidelines. Maintain a clean and organized work area and assist with housekeeping of the facility/work area. Assist in other Distribution Center functions, as required. Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions. Must possess problem solving skills. Ability to apply specialized skill training to make decisions and recommendations.
