About the Opportunity

Are you an entrepreneurial marketing leader who wants to connect business growth with meaningful environmental impact? Compost Crew seeks a Marketing Director to lead company-wide marketing strategy for our top-rated composting services/products. As the company's senior marketing leader, you'll own the marketing strategy from planning through execution. You'll shape our brand, drive market education and most importantly generate highquality Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) across commercial, residential, and municipal segments. You'll start as the personal owner of campaign planning and execution while you develop scalable, cost-effective systems/resources for crossselling, geographic expansion and new customer acquisition.

Does This Describe You?

• At least 6 years of progressive marketing experience, preferably within B2B or B2C services, sustainability, waste management, logistics or a related industry
• Demonstrated success driving MQL growth, digital marketing performance, and multichannel campaigns
• Experience managing both digital and traditional marketing programs
• Strong portfolio of marketing collateral development and content leadership
• Expertise with inperson marketing, field marketing, or community engagement
• Expertise in building or scaling a marketing function in a growthstage company.
• Strong strategic thinking paired with willingness to execute handson work
• Expertise in CRM systems, marketing automation, analytics tools, and digital advertising platforms
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and crossfunctional collaboration skills
• Passion for sustainability, circular economy, or environmental services

What You'll Accomplish

• Growth in MQL volume and quality across all business lines
• Improved conversion rates from digital channels, advertising, and campaigns
• Increased brand awareness and market penetration in target geographies
• Successful crosssell performance between hauling, compost sales, and ecommerce
• Scalable marketing systems and processes established
• Highperforming marketing resource stack built and developed

What You'll Do

• Develop and own strategic leadership/marketing vision
• Build and execute fullfunnel demand generation strategy that drives MQLs
• Lead small marketing team, manage marketing operations and build out marketing resource stack
• Directly plan and execute marketing campaigns initially
• Define brand identity, messaging and education for market segments
• Analyze market segments for growth opportunities
• Oversee digital presence, social media presence, marketing content, marketing collateral and engagement strategies
• Develop marketing strategies to increase cross-sell rates among business lines
• Support geographic expansion with marketing campaigns/initiatives
• Collaborate to pilot and launch new offerings

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive annualized salary of $100,000-$175,000 (actual compensation will be determined by accomplishments and capabilities)

Schedule/Location

• Hybrid position based in Rockville, Maryland (at least one in-office day per week) - Must live within daily commutable distance of Rockville, MD
• Occasional regional travel may be required for events, community engagement and other business needs
