Trident Consulting is seeking an IT Project Manager – Data & Analytics for one of our clients in Rosemead, CA (Hybrid-Wed). A global leader in business and technology services.

Pay Rate: $77/hr on W2 (All Inclusive)

Duration: 12+ Months

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead the planning, oversight, and execution of data and advanced analytics projects within the Technology Enablement & Analytics organization. This role will support the modernization of data and analytics platforms serving multiple operating units. The Project Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for project budgeting, scoping, technology decisions, governance, risk management, program oversight, and stakeholder management. Many projects will be executed through an in-house Managed Service Provider (MSP), requiring strong coordination across technology teams, architecture, quality advisors, business stakeholders, and service providers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of data and advanced analytics technology projects.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for project scope, budget, schedule, and delivery.
• Manage project budgets, estimates, actuals tracking, and financial reporting.
• Coordinate with architecture and quality teams on technology decisions and delivery standards.
• Oversee projects executed by the Managed Service Provider (MSP), ensuring delivery meets agreed scope, timelines, and quality expectations.
• Manage project requirements, milestones, dependencies, deliverables, and overall project lifecycle.
• Identify and manage risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigation plans.
• Lead steering committee meetings, governance activities, project status reporting, and executive communications.
• Manage relationships with operating unit stakeholders and ensure alignment between business objectives and technology delivery.
• Provide program oversight across multiple data and analytics initiatives.
• Facilitate collaboration between business stakeholders, technology teams, architects, quality advisors, and service providers.
• Support the modernization and deployment of enterprise data and analytics platforms.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 8+ years of experience in technical delivery and project management of data and analytics projects.
• Proven experience delivering and deploying data lifecycle and application projects within the utility sector.
• Experience with platforms such as:
• SAP Business Data Cloud (SAP BDC)
• Snowflake
• SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP)
• SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)
• SAS
• Or equivalent enterprise data and analytics platforms.
• Strong experience managing project scope, budgets, risks, stakeholders, and delivery timelines.
• Experience working with technology teams, architecture, quality teams, and managed service providers.
• Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage complex technology projects involving multiple operating units and cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP certification .
• Agile/Scrum Master certification or equivalent experience.
• Previous utility industry or client-specific project management experience.
• Experience with utility project budgeting processes, including unit estimates and actuals tracking.
• Strong understanding of the data project lifecycle, from planning and development through deployment and ongoing operations.
• Experience with cloud credit management / FinOps for cloud platforms.
• Experience managing large-scale data modernization or advanced analytics initiatives.
