Controller

Mb Staffing Services is seeking an experienced Controller to oversee all accounting operations and financial reporting. This position is located in the Washington, DC metro area and only local candidates will be considered. This position is responsible for managing the organization's accounting cycle, including monthly close, financial statements, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash flow management, grant accounting, audit preparation, and financial compliance. Key Responsibilities Manage the monthly accounting close process Prepare monthly financial statements Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Manage general ledger and journal entries Review weekly cash flow reporting Coordinate annual audit activities Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation Monitor grant expenditures and federal grant reporting Ensure compliance with GAAP and federal regulations Present financial information to executive leadership and Board committees Partner with leadership in budgeting and financial planning Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance CPA preferred 5+ years of accounting leadership experience Strong knowledge of GAAP Experience managing month-end close Grant accounting experience preferred Nonprofit accounting experience is a plus Experience with QuickBooks or comparable ERP/accounting systems Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills Preferred Experience Audit management Cash flow forecasting Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Oversight Federal grant accounting Board financial reporting Budgeting and forecasting Join an organization dedicated to sound financial stewardship while serving in a key leadership role that directly impacts organizational success. #J-18808-Ljbffr Mb Staffing Services LLC
