We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with deep Life Insurance industry expertise to lead a strategic enterprise software development & implementation initiative for a leading life insurance organization. This role will be responsible for driving the successful delivery of a best-in-class technology ecosystem that supports the end-to-end life insurance business lifecycle, including policy administration, new business intake, electronic applications, and related operational processes.

The organization currently has fractional project management support in place and is looking to bring on a dedicated full-time Project Manager to lead this highly visible transformation initiative. The ideal candidate will possess strong project leadership skills, extensive experience managing life insurance technology implementations, and a proven ability to collaborate with business and technical stakeholders across complex enterprise environments.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of a multi-phase software development & implementation program supporting life insurance operations and policy administration.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communications throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including business stakeholders, technology teams, vendors, system integrators, and executive leadership.
• Drive implementation efforts involving policy administration systems, new business processing, electronic applications, underwriting workflows, and related life insurance platforms.
• Facilitate Agile project ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement sessions.
• Utilize JIRA and other project management tools to track progress, manage priorities, and report project status.
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, governance frameworks, and executive-level reporting.
• Identify and mitigate project risks while proactively resolving issues that may impact delivery.
• Ensure alignment between business objectives and technology solutions while maintaining a focus on operational efficiency and customer experience.
• Partner with vendors and internal teams to ensure successful integration across the broader insurance technology ecosystem.
• Support organizational change management and user adoption efforts throughout implementation.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 7-10+ years of Project Management experience leading enterprise technology initiatives.
• Agile methodology
• Strong domain expertise within the Life Insurance industry.
• Hands-on experience managing implementations involving policy administration systems, new business processing platforms, electronic applications, underwriting systems, or related insurance technologies.
• Proven success delivering complex software implementation projects from initiation through production deployment.
• Experience working within Agile environments and utilizing JIRA for project tracking and management.
• Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and coordinate cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

Big Bonus Points if you Have:

• Experience implementing or integrating core life insurance administration platforms.
• Understanding of end-to-end life insurance operations, including policy issuance, underwriting, new business processing, and servicing.
• Experience working with third-party vendors and systems integrators.
• Project Management certification (PMP)

A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role is $98.00 - $102.00 per hour. The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. The compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case, such as skills and experience levels.
