About the Team

The Product Manager for the AI Acceleration team plays a critical role in achieving our goal of reimagining the status quo and finding new value creation opportunities. This is a transformational leadership role where you will lead a large cross-functional team through the entire product lifecycle all the way from initial research to proposing solutions and shipping. You will work closely with a team of product managers while partnering with designers, engineers, data scientists, and business partners to leverage various AI capabilities to deliver customer-facing solutions. Through this collaboration, you will help to shape the product strategy and deliver innovative experiences that meet the unique needs of our customers as the ongoing AI revolution transforms our society and industry.

Your product forms a key cornerstone of Capital One's future blending human-centered servicing needs with a deep technical understanding of the rapidly developing state of language models. To be successful, you will need a deep passion for language research, methods, Generative AI, and designing AI agents. You will apply product-centric thinking to identify and resolve complex problems, delivering intuitive solutions that improve both the associate and customer experience. You must be equally comfortable navigating technical development with our engineering and data science partners as you are educating and advocating for these next-generation solutions with senior leaders to drive organizational alignment.

Basic Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of experience working in Product Management

• Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining one of the following with an expectation that the required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date:

• A Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field)

• A Master's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field) or an MBA with a quantitative concentration

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer facing digital products

• At least 2 years of experience managing an AI solution in the market

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

McLean, VA: $200,700 - $229,100 for Sr. Mgr, Product Management

New York, NY: $219,000 - $249,900 for Sr. Mgr, Product Management

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
