Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a licensed Occupational Therapist providing essential support to students across two educational settings, located in the Rockford, IL vicinity. This full-time role totals 37.5 hours each week, with a schedule designed to align with the school day. Caseload assignment is tailored to your preferred age group—early childhood, elementary, middle, or high school—ensuring a fulfilling and focused experience.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapist license in the state of Illinois is required
- Previous background in pediatric or school-based occupational therapy strongly preferred
- Experience addressing sensory integration, setting measurable goals, and documenting student progress in educational settings
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services to general education, resource, and some self-contained special education classrooms
- Work at one school site per day, serving a defined group of students, with no mid-day travel needed
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans that align with students’ educational objectives
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to best support student development and goals
- Maintain thorough, timely documentation of interventions and progress
