Junior Accounts Payable Specialist

Addison Group is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accounts Payable Specialist for our client, a well-established company in the logistics industry. This role is a backfill due to an internal promotion, and our client is eager to bring someone on board within the next two weeks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and process invoices and purchase orders with accuracy
• Match invoices with purchase orders and receipts to ensure consistency
• Enter financial data into the accounting system
• Prepare and issue payments via checks, electronic transfers, or other methods
• Reconcile vendor statements with the accounts payable ledger
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in invoices and payments
• Maintain organized vendor files and records
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external vendors regarding payment matters

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

• Recent accounting graduate with internship or light experience preferred
• If no degree, 1-2 years of accounts payable experience required
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Interest in process improvement and automation
• Experience in logistics or handling multiple vendors is a plus
• Professional office etiquette and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
