Human Resources Coordinator

CLASS TITLE: Human Resources Coordinator REPORTS TO: Superintendent SUPERVISES: N/A JOB FUNCTION: Assists in the planning, coordination, and implementation of recruitment, processing of applications, processing of personnel actions for employees of the district. Coordinates online application system. Prepares and maintains personnel records, files, and reports. Provides information and assistance in person and on the telephone to district personnel and the public regarding personnel matters. Duties And Responsibilities Administers personnel procedures in accordance with employee agreements including classified and certified employee contracts, transfers, assignments, and leaves. Assure compliance with wage and hour policies, compensation schedules and procedures and other policies related to human resources. Communicates with department heads and principals regarding personnel matters including salaries, employee benefits, certification, retirement, and the completion of forms for staff. Communicates with various state agencies concerning personnel information and issues. established by the district and comply with federal, state, and other district guidelines for personnel matters. Orients new employees and provides necessary information. Provides information and assistance in person or on the telephone to district personnel and the public regarding a variety of personnel matters such as position vacancies, salaries, fringe benefits, and personnel regulations, policies, and procedures. Distributes, receives, records, and maintains files on job applications, transcripts, background checks, examinations, credentials, job descriptions, and other information; reviews for completeness and compliance. Provides statistical information and reports when needed. Oversees and coordinates the employment procedures for all district employees. Oversees the administration of the program for volunteer criminal records checks. Oversees and administers the administrative/supervisory staffing procedures and records. Oversees the implementation of the classified evaluation process, appeals, as well as progressive discipline and corrective action process. Oversee and assist with the annual FRED Award nomination process and award ceremony. Provides for the general administration of all personnel policies, procedures, and records. Maintains current issues of the Employee Handbooks (Certified and Classified), Confidentiality Handbook and Staff Code of Conduct Handbook for distribution to employees and/or hiring managers. Participates in the administration, monitoring, and reporting requirements of the Afferoative Action Plan. Prepares and responds to EEO requests for information as necessary. Prepares and responds to Open Record requests as necessary. Informs and advises the Senior Director and Superintendent on matters relating to the above duties and responsibilities and to other elements of the job assignment. Maintains regular attendance. Performs other duties as assigned by the Superintendent.
