School Office Clerk
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Record keeping of student attendance, student records, report cards, student scheduling.
PAY GRADE: 231 Days - Classified Salary Schedule - Grade 4 Salary Range: $29,220.00 to $45,418.00. Salary placement will be based on Douglas County Board Of Education approved salary schedules and years of verified relevant experience.
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 231 Days (12 Months)
REPORTS TO: Principal
EDUCATION LEVEL: High School Graduate
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of two years experience in general office work (school experience preferred).
CERTIFICATION/LICENSE: None
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Routine physical activities that are required to fulfill job responsibilities. Sedentary work : Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if working and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
PROFICIENT SKILLS: Computer and bookkeeping/record keeping skills; general knowledge of all office equipment; maintain confidentiality of all records; ability to communicate in a professional manner with students, parents, staff and community both orally and in writing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Essential duties are assigned to the 12 Month Office Clerk based on the needs of the school and may vary from one school to another. Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance. Enter and maintain all student attendance records daily. Maintains all student permanent records/cards. Processes all student records requests. Processes all new student records. Prepare records for storage at the records center. Transfer student records to other schools. Process the FTE report. Assists with maintaining discipline reports for students. Perform other duties assigned by the Principal.
