About the Position

Job Title: OR Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Acute Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Monday - Friday Hours per Shift: 9 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in the OR required License: State Registered Nurse Licensure Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS required Must-Have: Circulator experience Description: We are seeking an OR Registered Nurse who can circulate in various service lines including: - Orthopedics, including total joints, trauma, and sports medicine procedures. - General Surgery, both laparoscopic and open. - Urology, with experience using a lithotripsy laser. - ENT, with experience in pediatric patients, including procedures like PE tubes and tonsillectomies. - GI, such as colonoscopies and EGDs. - Spine surgeries, including ACDF and lumbar fusions. - Ophthalmology, primarily cataract surgeries. - Podiatry, with a focus on sports medicine procedures. Candidates should have experience working in small community hospital settings. Call experience is a plus, as candidates may be required to be on-call for various service lines. The ideal candidates are familiar with unique equipment used in different service lines but do not need to be experts in all areas. Effective communication and collaboration within an interdisciplinary team are essential. The OR Registered Nurse will provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients across adult, adolescent, and geriatric populations. Candidates will develop and implement individualized plans of care based on patient assessment. Promoting comfort and emotional support is crucial in creating a healing environment. Continued professional development and quality improvement are expected within nursing practice. Employees may encounter occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
