The Cheyenne-Eagle Butte School is a Bureaus of Indian Education (BIE) operated school located in Eagle Butte, South Dakota. As a BIE operated school, Cheyenne-Eagle Butte School is responsible for providing a high-quality general education and Special Education programming. Facility Address: E Street, Building #2004, Eagle Butte, SD 57625 RESPONSIBILITIES (listed are included but not limited to)

• Shall provide all personnel, supervision, materials and other items and services necessary to effectively evaluate and provide occupational therapy services.
• Services shall be provided onsite.
• Shall work collaboratively with the Special Education Coordinator/School Supervisor, school staff, students, and parents.
• Provide ongoing therapy to special education students currently in treatment as identified by their Individual Education Plan (IEP).
• Provide comprehensive Occupational Therapy Evaluations as designated by Special Education Coordinator/School Supervisor.
• Main Individual Education Plans according to the Local and State regulations.
• Consultation with Teacher Assistance Team/problem solving team as requested by Special Education Coordinator/School Supervisor.
• Provide prompt completion and delivery of evaluation reports.
• If requested to, will attend all Initial Eligibility meetings to review evaluation results with parents and staff.
• All evaluations will be completed within 25 school days as required by South Dakota State law.
• All evaluation reports will be completed with 30 calendar days as required by South Dakota State law.

Requirements

• Education: Shall have completed an occupational therapy curriculum approved by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) or a professional accrediting organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained; and completion of the clinical requirements prescribed by the school.
• Therapist must have passed the national examination administered by the National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy.
• Must possess a current, active, full and unrestricted license or registration as an Occupational Therapist from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth or Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
• Shall be a United States Citizen.
