Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching credential (or eligibility for certification)
• Experience supporting students with diverse learning differences
• Familiarity with IEP processes and implementation
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to adapt lessons and instructional strategies for individual student needs
• Positive, collaborative approach with colleagues, families, and staff

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction to students with disabilities according to their IEPs
• Assess student strengths and needs to tailor instruction and accommodations
• Develop and implement lesson plans that foster growth in both academic and functional skills
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and other support staff
• Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and required documentation
• Engage with families to support student progress and ensure continuity of services
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting and planning
• Build a classroom climate that is respectful, inclusive, and fosters student independence
