Dimensional Layout & CMM Metrology Specialist

Shape precision with Foreman Tool and MoldPicture your morning: you arrive, power up the lab, verify the health of the CMM and vision systems, and review calibration and certification records before the first job hits your bench. By midday, you’re running meticulous dimensional layouts for PPAP submission, programming and executing Zeiss CMM routines (experience with Calypso is a plus), and validating critical features with OGP Smart Scope and Microvu. In the afternoon, you’re translating GD&T into clear, defensible inspection results, applying SPC and 5 Why to chase variation, and communicating findings that help keep tooling and molding projects on track.What you’ll doComplete end-to-end dimensional layouts to support PPAP submission and ongoing quality verification.Program and operate CMM equipment (Zeiss) and use OGP Smart Scope and Microvu for optical measurements.Use all measuring tools confidently—precision hand metrology and advanced gauges—to validate complex GD&T callouts.Maintain the condition and readiness of the CMM and other instrumentation; keep certification and calibration records current.Apply SPC techniques and 5 Why problem-solving to support quality investigations and continuous improvement.Communicate inspection outcomes clearly to cross-functional partners in a fast-paced injection molding environment.What you bring3+ years of hands-on layout or metrology experience.Proficiency in GD&T and broad Quality Inspection Experience.Comfort with Statistical process control (SPC) and the 5 Why (Root Cause Analysis Method).ISO 9001 Certification Experience and a disciplined approach to documentation.Precision Measurement & Hand Metrology plus Advanced Inspection & Gauge Measurement skills.Excellent Communication Skills across teams and shifts.Injection Molding Experience and PPAP Process Experience.Zeiss Calypso Software experience is a bonus.Tools you’ll touchCoordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) (Zeiss)OGP Smart ScopeMicrovuCompensation & benefitsCompensation is based on experience.
