Position Highlights Work from Anywhere: This role is 100% remote for candidates residing anywhere within the state of Arizona. Reasonable Billable Targets: Maintain an exceptional work-life balance with a highly manageable minimum billable requirement of just 1,750 hours per year. Key Responsibilities Serve as lead or key counsel in complex civil defense litigation, specifically focusing on high-exposure Product Liability and Medical Malpractice cases. Manage cases through all phases of litigation, including drafting complex pleadings, motions, and briefs, managing specialized discovery, taking and defending depositions, and preparing for trial. Collaborate closely with corporate risk managers, insurance brokers, and high-profile clients to deliver exceptional value and early strategic case evaluations. Maintain an analytical, sharp approach to handling highly technical technical and expert-driven cases. Qualifications 4+ years of civil litigation experience, with a strong background in insurance defense litigation. Demonstrated experience or strong familiarity with product liability, medical malpractice, or complex tort defense is highly preferred. Exceptional legal writing skills (substantial writing samples will be required during the interview process). Highly intelligent, self-motivated professional with the capability and drive to eventually command a million-dollar portfolio. Active member in good standing with the State Bar of Arizona. The Interview Process An initial screening interview via Zoom. A final, in-person interview accompanied by a lunch meeting to assess cultural and strategic alignment. Compensation & Legal Disclosures Salary and Other Compensation The annual salary for this position is between $125,000 – $190,000. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
