Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical Unit. Location: Baton Rouge. Company: Geaux Care Staffing. Contract Length: 13 Weeks. Schedule: 3x12s | 36 Hours/Week. Shift: Days. Pay: Gross Weekly Pay up to $2,052/week. Travel Requirement: Must reside greater than 50 miles from the facility — local clinicians are not eligible for this assignment. Position Overview Geaux Care Staffing is seeking an experienced and dependable Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for a Medical Surgical unit assignment in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care to adult medical-surgical patients. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans. Monitor patient conditions and report changes appropriately. Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately. Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams. Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EMR system. Educate patients and families regarding treatments and discharge planning. Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and infection control standards. Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license. Minimum of 2 years of recent Medical Surgical experience preferred. Current BLS certification required. Current NIHSS certification required. ACLS certification preferred. Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
