Patient Service Coordinator (Float) Per Diem

Job Category: Non-Clinical Requisition Number: PATIE010994 Opportunity Overview We have an immediate opening for a Patient Services Coordinator (Float) Per Diem to join our team at Shady Grove Fertility in Houston, Texas - Medical Center with rotations to Memorial City, Katy, Clear Lake, Spring Woodlands and Beaumont, Texas offices. Schedule Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM; rotating weekend and holidays, with rotating weekend coverage every 6 weekends. How You’ll Contribute Collaboration is fundamental to our work. In this role, you will support patients and teams across our network, ensuring smooth front‑office operations, accurate patient data entry, and effective communication among departments. Responsibilities Greet patients and manage the front office. Check patients in for appointments and sanitize rooms. Answer patient phone calls and route them to the appropriate team. Register new patients into the laboratory EMR. Send and verify consents. Take payments and work closely with the Ovation Billing team. Process and fax completed lab report results to referring physicians. Act as liaison between lab staff and the medical team. Assist lab staff with administrative projects. Work with patients seeking to transfer cryopreserved specimens and their originating clinics to collect necessary records and organize shipments. Perform all other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Skills Include High school diploma or equivalent is required. 2+ years of previous experience in an administrative role; medical office experience preferred. Knowledge of medical software, terminology and procedures preferred. Knowledge of HIPAA Regulations preferred. Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to build and facilitate good working relationships with staff at all levels of the organization. Demonstrated ability in exercising sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to work independently, under pressure and within deadlines. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail. Ability to work as part of a team. Tech savvy. Flexibility and willingness to learn at all times. Excellent multi‑tasking abilities. Ability to use billing systems.
