Position Overview

We are looking for a Dental Assistant who is eager to learn and assist in both the clinical and front office areas of our practice. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety in their day and wants to develop a well-rounded skill set.

The ideal candidate is friendly, dependable, organized, and has a positive attitude. You'll assist with patient care, support front office operations, and help create an outstanding experience for every patient who walks through our doors.

Responsibilities

Clinical Duties

• Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms before patient appointments
• Take dental X-rays (active certification required)
• Take dental impressions
• Set up and clean operatories between patients
• Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control standards
• Record patient information and treatment notes
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Maintain inventory and restock clinical supplies

Front Office Duties

• Greet patients and provide exceptional customer service
• Answer incoming phone calls
• Schedule and confirm appointments
• Check dental insurance eligibility and benefits
• Enter insurance information and Explanation of Benefits (EOBs)
• Collect patient payments and maintain accurate records
• Assist with administrative tasks to keep the office running smoothly

Qualifications

Required

• Previous dental assisting experience preferred
• Knowledge of PPO dental insurance, including verifying eligibility and entering EOBs
• Active X-Ray License
• Current CPR Certification
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and grow
• A positive attitude

Preferred

• Experience with Dentrix and/or Dexis
• Mandarin speaking preferred
• Previous front office dental experience
