POSITION OVERVIEW All American Flooring is seeking an experienced, results-driven Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day functions across our warehouse, installation teams, administrative staff, and customer service departments. Reporting directly to the COO, this role is critical to maintaining the financial health, operational efficiency, and high service standards of our company. The ideal candidate will balance strategic process improvement with hands‑on team leadership—managing workflows, optimizing P&L efficiency, handling installers payroll/commissions, and ensuring every project from single-family homes to large commercial properties is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Operational & Workflow Leadership Daily Operations: Oversee cross‑functional day‑to‑day operations across office, field, and main warehouse locations to ensure business needs and project deadlines are met. Process Improvement: Continuously analyze department performance and workflows to identify inefficiencies, optimize operational procedures, and implement best practices. Safety & Compliance: Enforce compliance with company policies, quality standards, and safety regulations across jobsites and warehouse facilities. Field & Office Balance: Work flexibly between the office, warehouse, and active installation sites to troubleshoot issues and maintain quality control. P&L & Budgeting: Support the financial well‑being of the company by monitoring departmental budgets, profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow. Payroll & Commissions: Accurately process sales commissions and installer payroll in a timely manner. Inventory & Logistics: Monitor inventory levels, supply chain flow, and scheduling coordination to minimize delays and material loss. Team Management & Employee Relations Staff Leadership: Manage, coach, and develop team members across sales, administration, and installation divisions while maintaining high morale. Performance Tracking: Establish, track, and evaluate employee Key Performance Indicators (KPIs); conduct regular performance evaluations. Talent Acquisition & HR: Lead recruiting efforts, onboarding, training needs analyses, and offboarding/terminations when necessary. Customer Experience & Conflict Resolution Customer Satisfaction: Monitor overall customer satisfaction and serve as the escalation point for complex customer, sales, or jobsite issues. Negotiation & Conflict: Apply high‑level conflict management skills to resolve high‑pressure operational disputes with clients, vendors, or internal teams. QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS Education: Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field (equivalent hands‑on experience will be considered). Experience: 5+ years in management, operations, and team leadership, ideally within the flooring, construction, or home improvement industries. Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of general financial management, including P&L oversight, budgeting, payroll processing, and commission structures. Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with flooring materials, installation standards, warehouse logistics, and jobsite management is highly preferred. Software & Tech Skills: Proficiency in standard business software (MS Office, Excel) and CRM/scheduling tools, with a strong aptitude for learning industry‑specific management systems. Soft Skills: Outstanding communication, negotiation, and conflict‑resolution abilities; strong decision‑making skills under pressure with high attention to detail. Work Environment: Ability to work on‑site in a fast‑paced environment and balance time between office environments, warehouse operations, and field inspections.
