Job Description Summary Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse II provides individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients at a competent level utilizing the principles and practices of the nursing process; delivers safe and effective care and interacts with other members of the health care team to achieve desired results. Working Hours 36 hours per week. Three twelve-hour shifts per week during night (United States of America). Minimum Training and Education Associate degree in nursing. Bachelor’s degree preferred. At least 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse. Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Required Either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers or an AHA recognized equivalent, or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider. Newborn Resuscitation Program (NRP) required. Physical and Mental Requirements Ability to perform job functions while standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs, working indoors, working outside in temperature extremes, working from elevated areas, working in confined/cramped spaces, kneeling positions, bending at the waist, twisting at the waist, squatting, performing pinching operations, gross motor activities with fingers and hands, firm grasping, fine manipulation, reaching overhead, repetitive motions with hands/wrists/elbows and shoulders, using both legs, lower extremities for balance and coordination, reaching in all directions, lifting and carrying 50 lbs. unassisted; lifting from 36 inches unassisted; lifting 25 lbs. high; exerting up to 50 lbs. of force. Vision and hearing acuity as required. Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, and in a latex‑safe environment. Respirator use as required.
