About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in Labor & Delivery License: Indiana RN License Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP Must-Have: Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery. Experience with cervical exams and fetal monitor interpretation. Description: This position involves the care of laboring, pre-term, postpartum OB patients and newborns. Responsibilities include performing vaginal deliveries, cesarean deliveries, and neonatal resuscitation. The unit uses EPIC for documentation and utilizes Pyxis for medication management. Familiarity with Hospira IV pumps and GE Corometric fetal monitoring is preferred. Candidates must attend 7 days of mandatory orientation. The shift schedule is from 7 PM to 7 AM. The position may require floating to other units as needed. Dress code includes Caribbean blue scrubs. Nurse-to-patient ratios are not specified. Call may be required up to a certain frequency, and weekend work may be necessary.
