This role serves as a working leader who helps oversee guest arrivals and departures, supports Front Desk associates, resolves guest concerns, and ensures hotel standards and service expectations are consistently achieved. Essential Responsibilities Guest Experience & Service Leadership Lead by example and create a welcoming environment for guests and visitors. Deliver exceptional guest service throughout the entire guest journey. Assist with guest check-in and check-out procedures while ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Ensure guest information, reservations, and payment methods are properly documented and verified. Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and concerns. Foster a culture of hospitality, professionalism, and personalized service. Front Desk Operations Support the daily operation of the Front Desk and guest services functions. Maintain thorough knowledge of property management systems, reservation systems, and cashiering procedures. Ensure all guest transactions, room charges, and payments are accurate and properly processed. Monitor Front Desk workflow and operational efficiency throughout each shift. Assist with shift transitions, reporting, and communication between departments. Support adherence to Marriott brand standards and company policies. Team Leadership & Development Coach, mentor, and support Front Desk associates. Assist with onboarding and training new team members. Reinforce service standards, operating procedures, and guest experience expectations. Promote teamwork, accountability, and professional development. Serve as a resource and leader during daily operations. Staffing & Productivity Support scheduling, shift coverage, and staffing needs. Assist management in monitoring labor productivity and operational performance. Help ensure staffing levels align with business demands and guest service expectations. Support payroll accuracy and compliance with company policies. Guest Relations & Problem Resolution Address guest inquiries, requests, and concerns with professionalism and urgency. Utilize sound judgment and problem-solving skills to resolve guest issues. Escalate concerns appropriately while ensuring complete follow-through and guest satisfaction. Partner with Housekeeping, Engineering, Food & Beverage, and other departments to deliver a seamless guest experience. Hotel Knowledge & Guest Assistance Maintain a strong understanding of hotel accommodations, amenities, services, and policies. Stay informed of daily arrivals, departures, group business, and hotel events. Provide recommendations regarding local attractions, wineries, restaurants, entertainment, and transportation options throughout Sonoma County. Serve as an ambassador of the hotel's brand and guest experience. What We're Looking For Preferred Qualifications Previous Front Desk, Guest Services, Reservations, or Hospitality experience required. Minimum one year of supervisory or leadership experience preferred. Marriott or branded hotel experience preferred. Strong customer service and guest relations skills. Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal abilities. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to train, coach, and motivate team members. Experience working with hotel property management systems and reservation platforms preferred. Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and remain composed in a fast-paced environment. Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
