This 45-bed inpatient facility in Niceville, Florida operates within a structured hospitalist coverage model and maintains established clinical protocols and appropriate resources to support quality care delivery for a geriatric patient population. The facility serves patients at low to medium acuity with no trauma designation and provides EMR training and facility orientation for incoming locum clinicians. Locum tenens NP coverage is sought on a week-on week-off schedule beginning as soon as possible through October.

Niceville is situated in Okaloosa County, Florida, within the Northwest Florida region, and provides access to outdoor attractions such as Turkey Creek Nature Trail, Bluewater Bay Golf Course, and Rocky Bayou State Park. The surrounding area includes nearby Destin and Fort Walton Beach, recognized for Gulf Coast beaches, water sports, and seafood dining. Clinicians on assignment may also explore cultural points of interest such as the Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park and local community events throughout the region.

Clinicians will provide inpatient hospitalist coverage during day shifts from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM on an on-site basis at this 45-bed facility in Niceville, Florida. Responsibilities include rounding on approximately 10-12 patients per shift, managing approximately 10 daily admissions, and addressing approximately 2 consults per day within a low to medium acuity, non-trauma inpatient setting. The patient population is geriatric; no ICU rounding and no procedures are required as part of this assignment. An active Florida license, active Florida DEA, and prescriptive authority are required, with hospitalist medicine experience preferred for consideration.
