Senior Personnel Specialist – Transactions Unit The California Department of Human Resources (CalHR) seeks a highly detail‑oriented professional for a Senior Personnel Specialist position. The role involves processing personnel and transaction requests for CalHR and its customer agencies, interacting with staff at all levels, and delivering exceptional customer service. Responsibilities Process personnel and transaction requests for CalHR and customer agencies. Provide guidance on personnel laws, policies, regulations, and labor agreements. Resolve employee questions or concerns related to personnel matters. Resolve complex personnel or payroll issues, documenting actions and outcomes. Organize, prioritize, and manage workload in a fast‑paced environment to meet deadlines. Qualifications Knowledge of control agency laws, rules, and resource manuals. Ability to provide exceptional customer service in a professional and courteous manner. Demonstrated dependability and accuracy in task completion. Strong understanding of NDI, SDI, and Workers’ Compensation regulations, policies, and procedures. Strong dedication to delivering high‑quality work and a solid work ethic. Desirable Qualifications Proficient in identifying and correcting errors while maintaining meticulous records. Proficient in managing multiple responsibilities concurrently. Flexible and adaptable to handle changing priorities and deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills for addressing customer inquiries and effectively conveying information to diverse audiences. Excellent verbal communication skills, capable of articulating complex information clearly. Benefits Competitive salary range of $5,836.00 – $7,305.00 L.
