We are a fast-growing Tax Preparation & Consulting Firm in Pleasanton, CA, serving individuals, high-net-worth clients, small businesses, Partnerships, LLCs, S Corporations, and C Corporations. Our firm also specializes in IRS Streamlined Filing Compliance Procedures, accounting, payroll, business formation, sales tax, and business valuation services.

As our client base continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Reviewer (Tax Senior) to join our team. This hybrid position offers the opportunity to work on complex tax engagements while mentoring junior staff and partnering with leadership to deliver exceptional client service.

Responsibilities

• Review individual, partnership, corporate, fiduciary, and business tax returns for accuracy and compliance.
• Supervise tax engagements from planning through completion.
• Mentor, train, and review the work of junior tax staff.
• Prepare and review tax provisions and supporting work papers.
• Conduct tax research and provide planning recommendations for clients.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Manage multiple client engagements while meeting deadlines.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Identify process improvements and opportunities to enhance efficiency.
• Collaborate with firm leadership on complex tax matters.
• Maintain accurate documentation within a paperless work environment.

Qualifications

• 3-7 years of public accounting and tax experience.
• Experience with corporate, partnership, S Corporation, LLC, and individual taxation.
• CPA or EA license preferred, or actively pursuing certification with portions of the exam completed.
• Master's in Taxation preferred but not required.
• Experience reviewing tax returns and mentoring staff.
• Strong knowledge of tax planning, compliance, and research.
• Familiarity with fiduciary tax returns is a plus.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience with QuickBooks, Intuit Payroll, AME Payroll, and ProSeries Tax Software is preferred.
• Experience working in a paperless environment.
• Highly motivated with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Compensation

• $70,000-$95,000 annually (based on experience)
• Hybrid work opportunity
• Full-Time position
