Service Area Team Leader

Identify talent and engage in career discussions to support overall store staffing and maintain a diversified talent pipeline for team member and leadership roles. Engage in candid discussions to uphold Meijer standards and support growth opportunities. Accountability for area operations and financial results, overseeing execution of corporate plans to manage services and products, maximize sales and productivity, and own budget line items in the P&L. Drive safety and compliance throughout the store, managing overall condition and ensuring adherence to all compliance procedures. Ensure Team Leaders and Leads provide guidance, assign daily work assignments and address training needs. Identify and implement process improvements and serve as a steward of the Meijer culture. Perform any additional duties as assigned or required. What You Bring with You (Qualifications): Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Minimum 4+ years of retail/grocery or customer service experience. Progressive leadership experience preferred. A passion for providing industry-leading service. Strong communication skills, providing clear and precise direction to team members. Analytical ability to examine financial and statistical information and use data to inform decisions. Ability to lead an organization that prioritizes safety. Proactive and creative thinking applied to business operations. Comprehensive understanding of seasonal and diverse merchandising to meet customer needs and drive sales. Strong business acumen and innovative attitude.
