Experience: A minimum of 5 years previous sterile processing experience is required.

License: Certification required at hire and maintained.

Certifications: Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT).

Must-Have: Must be certified (IASCHM, CBSPD, HSPA). Must have a rating of 3 or above in Robotics. Must have worked in a Level II Trauma or similar facility.

Description: This position primarily involves working in decontamination and will rarely require assembling trays. The Sterile Processing Technician cleans, prepares, sterilizes, and stores instruments from across the system. This role also includes preparing case carts for the operating room. The Sterile Processing unit serves multiple surgical operating rooms, labor and delivery operating rooms, a catheterization lab, and several clinics. A variety of specialties are covered, including robotics. Staff members work with various vendors for tray instruments. The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or GED, though it is preferred.
