We are seeking a temporary Housing Navigator to support a community-based program serving Veterans in Berkeley. This role is ideal for someone with experience helping individuals access housing, connect to resources, and achieve personal stability goals. The Housing Navigator will work closely with participants to promote successful housing outcomes and ongoing self-sufficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist participants with housing navigation and access to community resources and supportive services.
• Build positive, professional relationships with residents and provide ongoing support and encouragement.
• Help participants develop and work toward individualized housing and personal stability goals.
• Monitor participant progress and maintain accurate case notes and documentation.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external service providers to ensure participants receive appropriate support.
• Conduct wellness check-ins and help address barriers to housing stability.
• Support a safe, respectful, and welcoming community environment.
• Assist with participant referrals, follow-up activities, and resource connection efforts.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in housing navigation, case management, social services, homelessness services, or a related field preferred.
• Experience working with Veterans or underserved populations is highly desirable.
• Strong ability to build rapport, motivate individuals, and support goal attainment.
• Knowledge of community resources, housing programs, and supportive services preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively with participants, service providers, and internal teams.
