As a key member of the Consumer Products sales organization, you will develop and execute account strategies, identify growth opportunities and lead commercial initiatives that strengthen Cascades' position with two of North America's most influential retailers. You will collaborate closely with Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, Customer Service and Finance teams to ensure alignment between customer expectations, business priorities and operational execution. Through your expertise in managing major retail accounts, you will build trusted relationships with key decision-makers, influence strategic initiatives and help accelerate Cascades' growth across the U.S. market. Ideal location: Bentonville, Arkansas (Walmart HQ) or Minneapolis, Minnesota (Target HQ). ***Remote candidates within the United States will also be considered, with regular travel expected*** Your responsibilities Strategic Account Management Develop and execute account strategies for Walmart US and Target US to achieve revenue, profitability and growth objectives Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer stakeholders and decision-makers Identify new business opportunities and expand Cascades' presence across existing and emerging product categories Support major commercial negotiations and customer business reviews Position Cascades as a preferred long-term partner through value-added and customer-centric solutions Business Development & Growth Evaluate sales opportunities and manage the strategic account pipeline Develop business cases and customer proposals aligned with market opportunities and customer needs Partner with Marketing to understand category trends, competitive dynamics and growth opportunities Support annual planning processes and contribute to the achievement of commercial objectives Provide recommendations to maximize sales performance and profitability Account Performance Management Monitor and analyze key account performance indicators, including sales growth, profitability and customer metrics Leverage data and insights to identify risks, opportunities and improvement initiatives Track and influence retailer KPIs such as On-Shelf Availability, OTIF, forecast accuracy, compliance and sales performance Participate in forecasting, budgeting and business planning activities Recommend tactical and strategic actions to optimize account performance Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Marketing and Finance teams Ensure alignment between commercial commitments and operational capabilities Support the execution of customer programs and business initiatives Influence internal stakeholders within a matrix organization to deliver customer and business objectives Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance customer satisfaction and operational effectiveness Required qualifications You are a natural fit for the position of Strategic Account Manager – Walmart / Target (US) if you recognize yourself in the following: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or a related discipline Minimum of 5 years of experience managing Walmart US and/or Target US accounts Proven success managing strategic or national retail accounts within a consumer products or manufacturing environment Strong understanding of Walmart and Target ecosystems, including replenishment, merchandising, supply chain and compliance requirements Excellent account planning, business development and negotiation skills Strong financial acumen with the ability to analyze profitability, margins and revenue drivers Experience developing account strategies and leveraging market intelligence to drive growth Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at multiple organizational levels Strong communication, presentation and influencing skills Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a matrixed, cross-functional environment Proficiency with data analysis tools and business insights, including Excel and Power BI Strong project management and organizational skills Customer-centric mindset combined with a proactive and results-oriented approach Ability to work successfully in a remote environment while maintaining strong collaboration and engagement across teams And if you put as much heart into your people skills as you do into your professional skills, we can't wait to meet you!
