Retail Store Associate

This is a new store going in on Duval Street. We are looking to build a motivated team of individuals to help stock and build the store over the next two weeks. The position is currently temporary but may lead to full time opportunities. The store is a lifestyle/Marley brand awareness store that celebrates the legacy of Bob Marley and his family. We are creating a captivating and inviting environment for locals and visitors to come experience, hangout, and shop exclusive Marley material. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service to enhance their shopping experience Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently for retail sales transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties Assist customers with product demos, answering questions about store merchandise, and upselling items to maximize sales opportunities Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure merchandise is well-presented and replenished regularly Maintain proper cash drawer handling procedures and perform basic math calculations for transactions Support merchandising efforts by arranging products attractively and ensuring accurate inventory levels Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers or coordinating with team members Conduct product knowledge sharing and promote store promotions to boost sales performance Assist in grocery or specialty store operations as needed, including stocking perishable goods and managing retail math tasks Experience Previous retail sales experience is preferred, especially in grocery or specialty stores Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math concepts is essential Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage confidently with customers and team members Experience in product demos, upselling techniques, and merchandising strategies will set you apart Knowledge of phone etiquette best practices ensures professional interactions at all times Embark on a rewarding career where your energy makes a difference!
