Job Summary

Equinix's partner ecosystem is central to how we extend the reach and impact of our platform—bringing together hardware and software providers, AI companies, neocloud providers, and joint venture partners to build the digital infrastructure that powers our customers' most ambitious work. 

The Manager of Technology Partner Communications is the strategic communications owner for this high-visibility segment of our partner business. Working at the intersection of Product Communications, Partner  Marketing, and our broader partner ecosystem, this leader will evaluate and execute integrated communications programs that span PR, social, events, internal communications, executive positioning, and analyst relations, to deepen our engagement across our ecosystem in concert with a more ambitious and expansive product strategy.  

The right person for this role is an expert writer, systems thinker, and disciplined operator who can assess how a partnership opportunity can positively impact Equinix and benefit our customers. They will bring rigor to prioritization, creativity to execution, and strong instincts about when Equinix should lead, when a partner should lead, and when the best story is told together. 

Responsibilities 

Strategic Communications Leadership 

• Develop and own a compelling partner narrative that works across hardware, software, AI, neocloud, and joint venture partner segments 
• Drive communications planning that connects near-term partnership announcements to longer-term strategic positioning 
• Evaluate incoming partnership communications opportunities against business priorities—recommending which to pursue, how to size them, and when to pass 
• Determine the right ownership model for each program: Equinix-led, partner-led, or jointly led 
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders in Product Communications, Partner Marketing, and the partner ecosystem org 

Integrated Partner Programs 

• Build and run integrated communications programs across PR, social, events, internal communications, executive, and analyst relations functions 
• Maintain a portfolio of active partner programs, including complex multi-partner opportunities where the work is as much diplomacy as communications — aligning partners with different priorities around a program that still serves Equinix first. 
• Partner with Product Marketing and Product Management and Ecosystem Teams to identify communications-worthy moments in the product and partnership lifecycle 
• Collaborate with partner marketing teams to align on joint storytelling opportunities and co-develop assets and programs that serve both sides 
• Oversee communications planning for partner program launches, partner events, and ecosystem milestones 

External Activation 

• Work directly with partner communications counterparts at other companies to execute joint announcements, earned media, and event activations 
• Partner with AR teammates to shape how analysts understand and cover Equinix's partner ecosystem 
• Develop messaging frameworks that can flex across partner types—from a major hardware partner to an emerging AI infrastructure company 
• Maintain an external point of view on how the competitive landscape is shaping partner communications trends 

Executive Communications 

• Develop executive platforms and talking points that connect partner strategy to Equinix's broader technology narrative 
• Prepare executives (especially our VP, of Partnerships & Ecosystem Development) for partner events, media opportunities, and industry speaking engagements 
• Support executive social presence and content tied to the partner ecosystem 

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of communications experience, with meaningful exposure to B2B technology, partner ecosystems, or product communications 
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate partnership opportunities analytically and make prioritization recommendations based on business impact 
• Experience running integrated communications programs across PR, social, events, internal, and AR functions 
• Strong instincts for narrative—able to find the story that works for hardware, software, AI, and JV partnerships alike 
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally with Product Management, Product Marketing, and Partner Marketing teams 
• Experience working with partner communications counterparts at other companies to execute jointly led programs 
• Strong executive presence and comfort advising senior leaders 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; exceptional attention to detail 

The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:

Canada - Toronto Office TRO : 99,000 - 149,000 CAD / Annual

Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location. The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.

The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
