ACCOUNTANT III | Hybrid Posiiton - PHOENIX, AZ

We’re looking for an experienced Accountant III to join a Phoenix-based team supporting financial reporting, reconciliations, month-end close, audits, and data-driven financial analysis . This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working with complex financial information and turning numbers into meaningful business insights.
Position Details:
Location: Phoenix, AZ 85012
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 40 Hours/Week
Duration: 6-Month Contract | Potential Extension
Start: 1–2 Weeks
Pay: $30.00–$30.13/hr W2
- 2 days in office and 3 days at home
- first week will be fully in office
What You’ll Be Doing
• Prepare financial statements, supporting schedules, and audit documentation.
• Perform account, revenue, expenditure, and general ledger reconciliations.
• Support month-end close and deliver accurate financial reports.
• Analyze variances, trends, and financial data to identify opportunities and issues.
• Build Excel-based reports, dashboards, and KPI metrics for stakeholders.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel, and Access for financial analysis and reporting.
• Support annual audits and help improve accounting procedures and reporting processes.
What We’re Looking For
• Strong accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Experience with reconciliations, financial statements, and month-end close .
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; Access/query experience is a plus.
• Governmental accounting experience is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently.
