Make a meaningful impact as a Bilingual English Language Arts (ELA) Middle School Teacher in a supportive, dual-language classroom environment. This full-time contract opportunity is located near Elgin, IL, and is designed for educators passionate about fostering both academic achievement and bilingual proficiency in middle school learners.
As a key member of the instructional team, you’ll guide students through engaging ELA curriculum while supporting bilingual development in both English and Spanish. Leverage your specialized training to inspire a diverse group of learners and collaborate with fellow educators in a dynamic, culturally inclusive setting.
Qualifications:
- Current Professional Educator License with the following endorsements:
- Middle School English Language Arts
- Bilingual/ESL Endorsement (Spanish)
- Demonstrated experience teaching middle school students in bilingual/dual-language settings
- Deep understanding of bilingual curriculum and culturally responsive teaching methods
- Strong communication skills and ability to foster an inclusive classroom community
Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver instruction for middle school ELA classes within a bilingual/dual-language framework
- Develop lesson plans that integrate language development and grade-level content standards
- Utilize effective classroom management strategies to support positive learning outcomes
- Monitor student progress and adapt instruction to meet individual academic and language needs
- Collaborate closely with colleagues, families, and support staff to ensure holistic student growth
