Role Overview

The Director of Business Development & Marketing is a strategic leadership role responsible for identifying revenue growth opportunities, enhancing brand visibility, and cultivating long-term client relationships within the food and beverage industry. This position combines a high degree of business development skills with marketing strategy execution to position WEBBER/SMITH as a premier partner for facility design and engineering services.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Market Planning:
• Develop and execute marketing and business development strategies aligned with corporate growth objectives.
• Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:
• Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities;
  maintain relationships with existing clients and industry partners.
• Industry Engagement:
• Represent WEBBER/SMITH at trade shows, conferences, and industry associations;
  network with contractors, vendors, and consultants.
• Proposal Development:
• Support and eventually lead the preparation of Statements of Qualifications (SOQs), RFP responses, and engineering services proposals in collaboration with technical teams.
• Marketing Leadership:
• Oversee digital and traditional marketing initiatives, including website, social media, SEO/SEM, advertising campaigns, and content creation.
• Brand Positioning:
• Ensure consistent messaging across all platforms;
  manage press releases, brochures, and presentations.
• CRM & Data Management:
• Maintain and update client databases;
  track leads and conversion metrics.
• Team Collaboration:
• Work closely with engineering, project management, and leadership teams to align marketing efforts with operational goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field (Architecture/Engineering background preferred).
• 7+ years of experience in business development and marketing. **Experience in AEC or food industry sectors a plus.
• Proven ability to develop strategic business development and marketing plans and deliver measurable growth.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Familiarity with BIM/Revit and technical design concepts is a plus.
• Willingness to travel nationally for client meetings and trade shows.
• HubSpot CRM/Sales Pro Experience is desirable.
