Maintenance Technician- 1st Shift

Maintenance TechnicianThe Maintenance Technician plays a key role in installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment at a manufacturing site that produces automotive parts for golf carts. Working on first shift, you will support safety, predictive and productive maintenance processes to help the facility achieve its operational goals while ensuring equipment runs reliably and efficiently.ResponsibilitiesInstall, maintain, and repair production machines and plant facility equipment to ensure optimal operation and minimal downtime.Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs on production equipment during active production runs, responding quickly to equipment failures.Perform scheduled maintenance and service on production equipment during planned machine downtime.Carry out basic machinist duties and responsibilities as needed to support equipment and production requirements.Apply mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic skills to troubleshoot and repair a wide range of production machinery.Read and interpret equipment manuals, technical documentation, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service tasks accurately.Diagnose equipment problems, identify faulty components, replace or repair parts, test systems, and make necessary adjustments to restore proper operation.Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities to reduce unplanned downtime and extend equipment life.Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment safely and effectively in daily work.Identify and report faulty operations, defective materials, and any unusual conditions to appropriate supervision in a timely manner.Comply with all safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized, and orderly work area at all times.Coordinate with the production supervisor on planning and implementing larger facility projects and improvements.Follow OSHA standards and plant safety procedures, including Lock-Out/Tag-Out and Confined Space Entry requirements.Support continuous improvement efforts by exploring root causes of equipment issues and recommending solutions.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Blacklick, OH.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
