Position Summary

The Apartment Maintenance Technician is responsible for completing service requests, maintaining apartment homes and community assets, and preparing vacant units for new residents. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in apartment maintenance and be comfortable handling a variety of repair and troubleshooting tasks independently.

This role requires a dependable individual who can prioritize work orders, maintain high standards of workmanship, and provide excellent customer service to residents and property management teams.

Key Responsibilities

As an Apartment Maintenance Technician, you will:

• Complete resident work orders in a timely and professional manner
• Perform a wide range of general maintenance repairs throughout the property
• Diagnose and complete basic plumbing repairs
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform minor electrical repairs
• Diagnose and repair household appliances
• Complete carpentry projects, drywall repairs, painting touch-ups, and general property upkeep
• Assist with apartment turns and make-ready preparation for incoming residents
• Help maintain the overall appearance, safety, and functionality of the community
• Communicate maintenance concerns and project updates with management
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates should possess:

• Previous apartment maintenance experience required
• Strong knowledge of general maintenance functions and repair techniques
• Experience with plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, carpentry, and drywall
• Ability to diagnose problems and complete repairs efficiently
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Professional attitude and strong customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Own tools required
