About the Position

Registered Nurse – PICU

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) setting
• Float to other units as needed, including NICU, CV PICU, ED, stepdown, and medical/surgical, with an appropriate assignment provided in each area
• Comply with facility float expectations and adapt to varying unit environments
• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care in accordance with facility policies and standards

Required Qualifications

• Active Ohio State RN license or valid Compact RN license – must be in hand at time of submittal
• Minimum of 2 years of PICU experience (first-time travelers considered with approximately 3 years of PICU experience)
• Recent Level 1 facility experience required
• Must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility (no local candidates)
• Must not have worked permanently at this facility within the past 2 years
• 2 supervisory references required at time of submittal, with at least one reference holding a manager or supervisor title

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience floating across multiple pediatric or critical care unit types
• Travel nursing experience in a pediatric or critical care environment
