About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for Production and Legal Affairs. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of legal activities related to the development and production of television programming. This includes drafting and negotiating various agreements, supervising production legal activities, and providing legal advice on the company's original programming slate. The role also involves partnering with cross-functional teams to address issues related to deal structure, contract interpretation, and risk assessments. Applicants must have a Juris Doctor degree, be a member of the State Bar of California, and have a minimum of 10 years' legal experience, with a focus on entertainment, copyright, or intellectual property. Strong drafting skills, excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, and a high level of motivation and attention to detail are essential. The role requires the ability to manage multiple projects, work in a fast-paced environment, and supervise legal activities related to marketing and publicity. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, responsible, and able to handle the demands of the position with a proactive and strategic approach.
