Portfolio Manager - Wholesale Credit Delivery - Middle Market segment

Job Overview Underwrites credit exposure for Wholesale Banking clients and actively manages a Middle Market or CML portfolio. Includes day‑to‑day client interaction, portfolio risk management, and adherence to regulatory and compliance guidelines. A critical component is early identification of emerging credit problems and industry trends. Work Details Regular position. Language: English (required). Work shift: 1st shift (United States of America). Location: Atlanta. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Lead the commercial underwriting process, document transactions, analyze company performance, recommend loan structures, and maintain compliance. Manage assigned portfolio: monitor performance, conduct risk rating integrity reviews, annual reviews, financial statement spreading, compliance, and regulatory review. Handle amendments and waivers. Utilize credit policy, pricing, and structure to develop solutions for clients, ensuring data integrity and loan system accuracy. Communicate with internal partners and external parties; coordination with clients, relationship managers, credit risk managers, and audit/examiner functions. No direct reports. Provide independent risk views, author risk recommendations, and work with the ultimate risk approval officer for final approval. Handle complex portfolio of leveraged clients; lead large projects to benefit the PM platform. Demonstrate leadership, influencing, negotiation, and mentoring of junior talent. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related field and at least 5 years of commercial credit analysis experience. Mastery level proficiency with MS Office applications. Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Sound credit analysis skills and strong attention to detail. Ability to prioritize workflow and multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a similar role within a commercial financial institution. Industry or sector expertise. Mastery of Truist Bank operating systems (COMPASS, MRA, Salesforce, nCino).
