Roto-Rooter's Hawaii branch, located on Kapolei, is looking for Experienced Drain Technicians.First year Roto-Rooter drain service technicians can expect top-pay, earning $55,000, on average. Pay increases quickly with each year of experience.The primary role of a Sewer and Drain Technician is to provide quality sewer and drain cleaning to residential, commercial, and industrial customers. Roto-Rooter provides an initial 12 weeks of paid sewer and drain service training, plus continuing training is available if you want to learn the plumbing trade and pursue a journeyman plumber's license.ResponsibilitiesResponds to customer service calls by inspecting problem areas and accurately diagnosing a problem; provides solution and estimate for service and closes the sale.Locates and arrives at job sites in a timely manner; safely drives and operates service vehicle between job sites.Unclog and clean sewers and drains for the customer using Roto-Rooter equipment and tools.Document estimates and invoices, both in writing and on a provided smartphone.Collect payment and move on to the next service call.RequirementsA valid driver's licenseEffective communication skills.Previous drain cleaning experience preferredA mechanical aptitude is desirable, but prior experience is not necessary.As part of employment, you will need to purchase a service van prior to completion of your training period.BenefitsAt Roto-Rooter, we believe our most significant investment is in our employees.
