Copy of Finance Data Product Analyst — FP&A
Intuitive Surgical
Finance Data Product Analyst will manage FP&A analytics requirements gathering, technical translation, and engineering handoff across core finance domains. The role bridges stakeholder needs with development teams, ensuring accurate delivery of financial models and reports for general ledger, revenue, capital expenditure, and headcount planning.
Responsibilities
- Gather, clarify, document, and prioritize FP&A requirements from finance stakeholders across four portfolio domains
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and data model requirements for engineering teams
- Own requirements-to-engineering handoff process ensuring completeness and validation before development
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, and user acceptance testing to verify models and reports match business intent
- Coordinate between onsite and offshore teams managing backlogs, tracking delivery status, and flagging gaps
Requirements
- 4+ years in BI analysis, data product analysis, or finance analytics support
- Strong FP&A knowledge: general ledger, revenue recognition, CapEx, headcount reporting
- SQL proficiency for data investigation and validation across data warehouse layers
- Experience with requirements gathering, documentation, and business-to-technical translation
- Familiarity with Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms from analyst perspective
- Tableau or similar BI tool experience for report validation
- Bachelor's degree in finance, computer science, mathematics, information systems, or business
